Seven students have been suspended in the government college located at Karyavattom in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala in connection with the ragging case against a junior student. During this time, the statement of the victim student has also come to light. “I have given my statement and the police will file an FIR,” said a student, one of the victims.

According to the student’s father, the victim suffered serious injuries due to ragging and is undergoing treatment. Speaking to ANI, he said, ‘There was a fight between friends. Ragging has taken place. He was seriously attacked and is undergoing treatment. We have given a statement to the police.

The victim told the media, ‘This incident happened when my friend Abhishek and I were passing through the campus. Then a group of seniors stopped us and started beating me. My friend somehow escaped from there and informed the principal.
