Kent, WA — Motorists traveling on James Street at the intersection of Washington Avenue North should expect overnight traffic impacts due to upcoming fiber installation work.

From January 13 through January 15, 2026, crews will implement intermittent lane shifts between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Traffic control measures will be in place to safely guide drivers through the work zone.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area and allow extra time during nighttime hours.

The work is being conducted as part of ongoing fiber infrastructure improvements.
