Seattle, WA — Seattle police arrested a 39-year-old man on Jan. 11 in the Chinatown-International District after he was found carrying two illegal fixed-blade knives, violating his Stay Out of Drug Areas (SODA) order.
Officers on patrol around 8:00 a.m. near 12th Avenue and South Jackson Street noticed a knife sheath protruding from the suspect’s waistband. When questioned, the man admitted it contained a hunting knife. Upon inspection, police discovered two fixed-blade knives concealed in his waistband.
The suspect is a convicted felon with previous charges including manufacturing/dealing narcotics and riot with a deadly weapon. He had been ordered to stay out of the International District under a SODA order, which he violated.
