Kent — The City of Kent is encouraging residents to sign up for its popular community engagement program, “Drinks in the Driveway,” as spring and summer dates are filling up quickly.
The program brings city leaders directly into neighborhoods, allowing residents to meet informally with officials to discuss current issues, concerns, and ideas affecting their communities. Neighborhood councils and recognized associations can host these gatherings, creating a relaxed setting for open dialogue and civic engagement.
City officials say the initiative helps strengthen connections between residents and local government while promoting transparency and collaboration.
Neighborhood groups interested in participating are encouraged to register soon due to high demand.
