Netanyahu has decided to officially begin negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement. The security cabinet has also been informed about the decision. Israel’s Government Broadcasting Service has given this information.

33 Israeli hostages are expected to be released in exchange for 2,000 Palestinians under the first phase of a ceasefire agreement effective January 19. The second phase is likely to focus on the release of remaining hostages, the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Palestinian territories, and the implementation of a permanent ceasefire.
