An important meeting organised in London, the capital of Britain, regarding ceasefire in Ukraine was cancelled at the last moment due to the absence of US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio. In this meeting, Rubio was to hold talks with the foreign ministers of Britain, France, Germany and Ukraine.
Later, a meeting of lower-level officials was held in London in which US envoy General Keith Kellogg took part. Meanwhile, nine people have been killed and 40 injured in a Russian drone attack on a bus carrying employees in Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump has warned that if the parties involved in the Ukraine war do not seem serious about a ceasefire, the US will stop efforts for peace. Trump gave this warning on Sunday after both sides continued attacks on each other.
The latest attack on the bus in Ukraine also demonstrates the reluctance towards ceasefire. According to sources, Russia’s declaration of not returning the captured territories is becoming the biggest hurdle in the way of the peace process.
