Seattle, WA — October 22, 2025:
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Seattle is warning residents of an active weather pattern developing later this week and continuing into next week. According to the latest 5-day outlook, windy conditions and heavier rain are expected Thursday night through Friday, with mountain snow returning over the weekend and into early next week.
Forecasters say moderate to heavy rain may cause localized roadway ponding on Friday, while high surf is expected along the coast. Snow levels are projected to fall to around 3,000–4,000 feet, potentially impacting travel through the Cascade Passes and the Olympic Mountains.
The NWS advises residents to monitor forecasts and prepare for changing conditions, especially if traveling over mountain passes or near coastal areas this weekend.
