A few hours after the ceasefire was announced, firing was taking place from Pakistan’s side. On Saturday evening, the Ministry of External Affairs had informed that both the countries have agreed to a ceasefire.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had said that there will be talks again between the DGMOs of both the countries on May 12. The situation on the border is normal now. Restrictions have started being lifted in Jammu Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. But, security personnel are still alert.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has raised questions on the mediation of US President Donald Trump. He says that if Trump can stop the war between India and Pakistan, then why has he not stopped the war between Israel and Gaza yet? Trump’s mediation shows the weakness of our government.

Despite the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, security is tight at Bhuj airport in Gujarat. The administration has ordered to keep this airport closed till May 14 or till further orders.
