The controversy over the film Phule continues. After the trailer was released, the Brahmin community raised objections against the film. After which the Censor Board of Film Certification demanded several cuts in the film.
Amidst the ongoing controversy over the film, director Anant Mahadevan has targeted the society.Anant Mahadevan talked about the film in an interview given to Times of India. Anant was asked that people have formed an opinion about the film even before watching the entire film, can we do something about it.
The director responded by calling society immature and also accepted that he doesn’t expect to see any change in such behavior in the future. Ananth Mahadevan said, as a society we are far behind in many ways. We have progressed in everything, but as a society we are far behind.
