Seattle Police Department officers arrested a 31-year-old man during a traffic stop in South Seattle after recovering narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun.
According to police, the incident happened on May 19 around 9:30 p.m. near the 3400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South. Patrol officers initially stopped the motorcyclist for traffic violations before discovering additional offenses during the investigation.
Authorities recovered approximately 37 grams of methamphetamine, 19.1 grams of fentanyl, narcotics equipment, and a firearm. Investigators say the suspect was a denied firearm applicant and was prohibited from possessing guns.
Police impounded the motorcycle and booked the suspect into the King County Jail on charges including unlawful possession of a firearm and possession with intent to deliver narcotics. Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are leading the investigation under Incident #2026-140561.
