Seattle police have arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with a homicide that occurred on May 7 in a tent encampment near Cheasty Boulevard South and South Winthrop Street.

Officers originally responded just before 9:00 a.m. to reports of a body at the location, where they discovered a 35-year-old man मृत with a penetrating injury outside a tent. The area was secured as detectives began processing the scene and investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

Following several days of investigation, Homicide Unit detectives developed probable cause to identify a suspect. On May 11, in a coordinated operation involving SWAT and the Gun Violence Reduction Unit, officers successfully took the suspect into custody.
