The flames of the Israel-Gaza conflict are reaching Bangladesh. Protests are being held in many areas of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, against the firing on Palestinians in Gaza. During these demonstrations, angry mobs have reportedly targeted businesses perceived to be linked to Israel.
The protesters especially vandalised food corners of international chains like KFC and Pizza Hut. Videos of the vandalism have been going viral on social media since Monday.
Interestingly, the protesters also attacked the showroom of footwear brand Bata, even though the company has no links with Israel. A video showing this vandalism was shared by an account called Bangladeshi Hindu Community.
