Bellevue, WA —
The Bellevue Police Department is investigating a traffic collision that left a 44-year-old man with serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in the Lake Hills neighborhood late Thursday night.

According to police, at approximately 10:02 p.m. on November 6, a Bellevue officer on a call for service observed the man illegally crossing 148th Avenue SE, between SE 22nd and SE 24th Streets. Officers attempted to assist the individual in safely crossing the roadway when a driver traveling northbound on 148th Avenue SE struck him.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

The Bellevue Police Traffic Unit launched an investigation into the incident. Early findings indicate that the driver was not impaired at the time of the collision.

Authorities say additional details will be shared as the investigation progresses. Updates will be available through the Bellevue Beat Blog.
