A ceasefire has been declared between India and Pakistan. The ceasefire began at 5 pm today. Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has given this information. After talks between the DGMOs (Director General of Military Operations) of both the countries, a ceasefire was agreed upon. Vikram Misri informed that the DGMOs of both the countries will talk again on 12 May.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar also informed that a ceasefire has been reached between the two countries. S Jaishankar said on X, “India and Pakistan have today agreed to stop firing and military action. India has consistently taken a firm and unwavering stand against all forms and manifestations of terrorism.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has also confirmed the ceasefire. Ishaq Dar wrote on the social media site X, ‘Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region without compromising its sovereignty and territorial integrity!’

On Saturday, US President Donald Trump was the first to announce a ceasefire between the two countries. President Donald Trump has said that India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect.
