Yuzvendra Chahal has not played any match for the national team since August 2023. However, last year he was included in the team for the T20 World Cup in 2024. Chahal said, ‘I enjoy the game, I do not think about which team I am playing for.’
Chahal, who is playing for Punjab Kings in IPL, said on being asked about his comeback in Team India, ‘I was out of the team for almost the whole year last year, but was successful in making a comeback in the national team for the T20 World Cup. I want to avoid putting pressure on myself. I enjoy my game without thinking about which team I am playing for. I don’t think much about it. It is not in my hands’.
Chahal said that Punjab Kings are a strong contender for the trophy compared to previous years. This is a different team. We have played three matches and the best thing is that we have won two of them. The atmosphere in the team is much better.
