KENT, Wash. – October 28, 2025 — The City of Kent and the Kent Police Department joined communities nationwide in recognizing National First Responders Day, expressing gratitude to the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others.
The city shared a heartfelt tribute thanking local police officers, firefighters, dispatchers, nurses, corrections staff, and military personnel for their service and commitment.
In a statement, the Kent Police Department acknowledged the daily sacrifices made by first responders to keep the community safe. “They sacrifice time with their families and friends, their own safety by putting themselves in harm’s way to protect others, and their mental wellness by seeing and experiencing the unimaginable,” the department said.
City officials encouraged residents to take a moment to thank a first responder for their courage and dedication. The post featured a collage of photos highlighting Kent police officers and community members, symbolizing unity and appreciation for all those who serve on the front lines.
