Kent, WA — October 30, 2025:
The City of Kent has announced the start of its Annual Food Drive, encouraging community members to come together and help local families in need throughout the month of November.
City employees organize the food drive each year, collecting donations to benefit local agencies that support Kent residents. For 2025, the drive will run from Monday, November 3 to Tuesday, December 2, with donation drop-offs available in the lobby of Kent City Hall, located at 220 4th Avenue South, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The food drive will support two local organizations:
-
Kent Food Bank – https://www.kentfoodbank.org/
-
Project Access – https://www.project-access.org/
Both agencies provide essential services to families in the Kent community.
The City of Kent is asking donors to contribute non-perishable and non-expired food items. Suggested donations include:
-
Peanut butter and peanut butter alternatives
-
Canned proteins
-
Canned beans
-
Canned fruits and vegetables
-
Canned baby formula and food
-
Chili and stew
-
Canned soup
For residents unable to bring donations to City Hall, the city encourages direct support through the websites of the partner agencies.
“Every year, our employees and community members step up to help local families during the holidays,” the City of Kent shared. “Together, we can make a difference.”
The food drive aims to ensure that families in need receive the support they deserve during the winter season.
