City of Kent Opens Registration for Spring 2026 “Kent 101” Civics Course

USACity of Kent Opens Registration for Spring 2026 “Kent 101” Civics Course

KENT, Wash. — The City of Kent has opened registration for its Spring 2026 “Kent 101” course, a free seasonal civics program designed to help residents better understand how their local government operates.

The program offers an inside look at the roles and responsibilities of city leadership, staff, and various departments. Participants also gain a deeper understanding of how city decisions are made and how different agencies work together to serve the community.

The course typically includes presentations, tours, and interactive sessions that allow residents to engage directly with city officials.

Registration is now available online at KentWA.gov/Kent101. The city encourages residents interested in learning more about government operations or becoming more involved in civic affairs to sign up early, as space is limited.
