This Year’s Fire Prevention Theme
The 2025 Fire Prevention Month theme, “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home,” aims to educate residents about the growing risks associated with lithium-ion batteries commonly found in everyday devices such as smartphones, laptops, and e-bikes.
Fire Marshal Barton emphasized the importance of safety awareness, noting that while lithium-ion batteries are efficient and widely used, mishandling them can lead to dangerous fires.
