Renton’s beloved holiday tradition, Clam Lights, is set to return with its official opening night celebration on Friday, December 5, at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park.
Festivities will run from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., featuring a tree lighting ceremony, festive holiday music, glowing light displays along the waterfront, and the special arrival of Santa Claus. City officials encourage attendees to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot.
Following opening night, the Clam Lights display will be illuminated daily from December 6 through January 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., transforming the park into a winter wonderland along Lake Washington.
The event is made possible through support from Ivar’s Restaurants and Renton Parks and Recreation. City leaders thanked both partners for continuing this treasured seasonal tradition.
Clam Lights is one of Renton’s most anticipated holiday attractions, drawing families and visitors each year to enjoy the festive atmosphere and waterfront lights.
