Tacoma, WA — Hundreds of families filled the Tacoma Dome parking lot on Thursday for an annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway that organizers say has continued to expand as community need rises.
Volunteers, local organizations, and community partners worked together to distribute turkeys and meal supplies to residents ahead of the holiday. Long lines of vehicles stretched across the lot as families waited for their turn to receive food assistance.
The event also featured energetic support from costumed community mascots and on-site volunteers who helped load bags of food into car trunks, offering smiles and encouragement to those attending.
