A complaint has been filed against actress and MP from Mathura Lok Sabha seat Hema Malini on Monday for hurting religious sentiments. Recently, the actress had gone to Puri Jagannath temple for darshan. The controversy started after a video surfaced from the temple. It is alleged that the actress’ entry into the temple is illegal.
A complaint has been filed against Hema Malini by Puri’s local organization Shri Jagannath Sena. In the complaint lodged at Singhadwar Police Station, it is alleged that Hema Malini has violated religious rules.
The organization has alleged that Hema Malini’s husband Dharmendra had converted to Islam to marry her and their marriage was also done according to Muslim customs, hence his entry into the temple has hurt Hindu sentiments.
Many pictures and videos of Hema Malini came out from Puri Jagannath. The actress had told that she has come from Mathura to Puri to play Holi.
