After Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dikshit and Atishi, Delhi may once again get a woman Chief Minister. BJP, which came to power after 27 years with the promise of respect and safety of women, is serious about handing over the leadership of the government to a woman MLA.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised women during the election rally that if BJP forms the government, Rs 2,500 will be deposited in their accounts even before International Women’s Day. According to sources, BJP can fulfill this promise of PM through a woman CM
It is believed that the final decision in this regard will be taken after the Prime Minister returns from America. One reason behind making a woman MLA the Chief Minister in Delhi is that at present there is no woman Chief Minister in any BJP ruled state

Four women MLAs of BJP have been elected in this election. Among them, Rekha Gupta from Shalimar Bagh seat, Shikha Rai from Greater Kailash, Poonam Sharma from Wazirpur and Neelam Pehalwan from Najafgarh have been elected MLAs.
