Seattle police are investigating the death of a 44-year-old man found with significant head trauma in Downtown Seattle on Saturday evening.
At approximately 6:23 p.m., officers responded to reports of a man down and bleeding near Union Street and Convention Place. Police arriving on scene discovered the victim unresponsive and immediately began CPR. Seattle Fire Department medics took over life-saving efforts upon arrival, but despite prolonged attempts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police secured the area while Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit documented the scene and collected evidence. Authorities have not released the victim’s name; the King County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine both his identity and the cause and manner of death.
