Dubai, United Arab Emirates has taken a significant step towards tightening deportation rules and travel restrictions. For this, the emirate has implemented Resolution No. 1 of 2025. This new resolution replaces the old Resolution No. 7 of the year 2007.
It aims to close legal loopholes used to avoid deportation. In recent years, some people facing deportation have used legal manipulation to circumvent travel bans and delay their deportation.Dubai has set up a judicial committee to deal with such cases and maintain a strong legal framework. This committee will be responsible for reviewing and enforcing deportation orders, especially those involving travel bans.
The Committee will cooperate with the relevant government authorities within Dubai to effectively carry out its responsibilities. The Committee is granted specific powers in accordance with Article 4. In making its decision, the committee will consider a variety of factors, including the public safety risks associated with delaying deportation and the interests of creditors to ensure that all financial obligations are met.
