USAFelon Arrested After Tossing Drugs and Cash During Chase in Seattle’s CID

SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested a known drug dealer with multiple outstanding felony warrants Tuesday afternoon after a brief foot chase in the Chinatown-International District, according to authorities.

Officers conducting a narcotics surveillance operation near 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street spotted a man known to law enforcement who was wanted on several warrants, including a Department of Corrections (DOC) Assault in the Second Degree warrant, a $30,075 warrant related to dangerous drugs, and a $100 warrant for obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Police enlisted assistance from the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), where analysts located the suspect and provided officers with an image to help coordinate the arrest.

As officers moved in, the suspect fled on foot, discarding a jacket and cash as he attempted to escape. Officers quickly took him into custody.

Police retraced the suspect’s path and recovered the discarded items. Officers found fentanyl inside the jacket, and additional fentanyl was recovered during a search of the suspect’s pockets.

Authorities say the suspect is a previously convicted violent felon currently under DOC supervision, which prohibits him from engaging in criminal activity as a condition of his release.

The suspect was booked into the King County Jail.
The incident is documented under case number 2026-25701.
