USAFelon Arrested for Drug Dealing in Seattle’s Belltown, Crack Cocaine Found Hidden in Underwear

Seattle, WA — Seattle police arrested a 33-year-old felon Wednesday morning after officers observed him selling crack cocaine in the Belltown neighborhood. Additional narcotics were later discovered concealed in his underwear during booking at the King County Jail.

According to police, the arrest occurred around 10:00 a.m. on January 7 in the 2200 block of 3rd Avenue. Patrol officers witnessed the suspect conduct a hand-to-hand drug transaction with a man who drove up to purchase narcotics. Officers observed the suspect shove an item down his pants during the exchange.

Police followed the buyer’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop a short distance away. During questioning, the buyer admitted to purchasing $60 worth of crack cocaine from the suspect.

Officers contacted the Seattle Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), which confirmed the drug transaction through nearby surveillance cameras. The video evidence was collected to support the investigation.

The suspect, who is known to law enforcement and has previously been arrested for drug dealing at the same location, was taken into custody on 3rd Avenue. Officers recovered cash and narcotics during the arrest. Despite denying possession of additional drugs, officers warned jail staff that the suspect may be concealing more narcotics — a separate crime if brought into a correctional facility.

During a secondary search at the King County Jail, corrections deputies located additional drugs hidden in the suspect’s underwear. In total, authorities recovered 53 baggies containing 13.6 grams of crack cocaine, along with $121 in cash.

The suspect was booked into jail on narcotics-related charges. Detectives with the Seattle Police Narcotics Unit have been assigned to the case.
