USAFlooding Closes Lane on SR-169 in Renton

The far right-hand lane of southbound SR-169 just east of SE 5th Street and Maple Valley Highway near Riverview Park has been closed due to flooding, according to the Renton Police Department.

City officials said Renton Police are on site, and City of Renton transportation maintenance crews have been mobilized to secure the affected area. Authorities warned that soil erosion along the Cedar River may pose a hazard to motorists traveling eastbound on SR-169.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is en route to the scene, and updates will be shared as conditions change. Drivers are advised to use caution, expect delays, and seek alternate routes while crews assess and address the situation.
