The Fresno Police Department has announced that officers will conduct DUI saturation patrols on November 29, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m., targeting drivers suspected of operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Authorities emphasized that impaired driving extends beyond alcohol consumption. Prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and marijuana—though legal for medical and recreational use in California—can all impair driving and result in arrest.
The department warns that first-time DUI offenders face up to $13,500 in combined fines, penalties, and fees, along with the possibility of a suspended driver’s license.
The enforcement effort is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, supported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The Fresno Police Department urges all drivers to stay safe, follow medication labels, and avoid driving under any form of impairment.
