Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced that the country will go for a general election on April 28. He said on Sunday that he wants a strong mandate to deal with US President Donald Trump.
The Canadian PM said- Tariff war with America is one of the biggest threats to us. They want to break us so that America becomes our master, but we will not let this happen.
Carney said there is still a lot to be done to secure Canada. He also talked about plans to help farmers and businesses affected by the tariff war.
Mark Carney has taken oath as the Prime Minister of Canada just 10 days ago. He won the election for the leader of the Liberal Party on February 9. Carney got 85.9% votes.
