Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has been fined 12 lakhs by the BCCI for slow over rate. The ninth match of IPL-2025 was played between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
In this match, Mumbai team won the toss and was fielding first and could not bowl 20 overs in the stipulated time. Due to this, the team had to keep one more fielder in the 30 yard circle in the last over.
Mumbai Indians lost this match to Gujarat Titans by 36 runs. Gujarat scored 196 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Mumbai’s team could only score 160 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.Last season, Hardik was fined by the BCCI for slow over rate in three matches. In IPL-2024, on May 30, against Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai was fined Rs 30 lakh for slow over rate for the third time and the team captain was banned for one match.
