Seattle, WA — October 30, 2025:
The National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle has issued a warning for heavy rain and breezy conditions expected to arrive on Halloween night, potentially dampening festivities across the Puget Sound region.
According to NWS Seattle, a wet and windy weather system will move into western Washington on Friday, October 31, bringing widespread rainfall and gusty winds that could impact trick-or-treating plans and increase the risk of minor flooding in low-lying areas.
Meteorologists are advising residents to take precautions ahead of the storm by clearing storm drains and gutters to prevent localized flooding, especially in neighborhoods prone to water buildup.
“Don’t be tricked,” NWS Seattle warned in a social media post, encouraging communities to prepare for the wet conditions and ensure safety during outdoor activities.
Rainfall totals are expected to be heaviest along the coast and foothills, while breezy winds may cause scattered tree debris and slick roadways throughout the evening.
