According to the new rule, border officials have been given the right to cancel documents like Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) and Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). This includes work permits and student visas. Canada is taking this step to deal with illegal immigration.
The Government of Canada has given more powers to border security and immigration officials. Officials can cancel the permit of any person. According to the new rules, Canadian immigration and border officials can cancel any person’s ETA, TRV, work and study permit.
If officials feel that a person will not leave Canada after a certain period, they have the right to cancel the permit. If any person’s documents are stolen, lost or destroyed, the permit can be canceled.
