Seattle Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in the Capitol Hill neighborhood on Monday afternoon.
Officers responded around 4:10 p.m. on March 24 to reports of a deceased man in the 1600 block of Melrose Avenue in Seattle. Upon arrival, police discovered a 39-year-old man inside an apartment suffering from multiple puncture wounds.
Personnel from the Seattle Fire Department arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead.
Authorities secured the area as homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigation units processed evidence. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has taken custody of the body and will determine the official cause and manner of death, as well as confirm the victim’s identity.
As of now, no suspect information has been released. Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
