President Donald Trump may be repeatedly threatening to impose reciprocal taxes on Indian products from April 2, 2025, but there have been some signs of leniency from his government. These signs have been given in the ongoing talks with Indian officials.
The effort is to avoid a trade war between the two strategic partner countries at any cost. This will be the last round of talks between the two countries before the scheduled period of imposing reciprocal taxes.
US Embassy sources said, “Deputy Trade Representative (South and Central Asia) Launch will be in India from March 25-29 to participate in the ongoing bilateral trade talks between India and the US.
This reflects America’s commitment to furthering its balanced and beneficial business relationship with India. We respect the ongoing dialogue on investment and trade with India and hope that a constructive, equal and future-oriented dialogue will continue.
