Investigation Reveals Sexual Exploitation, Prostitution, and Illegal Alcohol Sales at Seattle Strip Club; SPD Declares Business a Chronic Nuisance

USAInvestigation Reveals Sexual Exploitation, Prostitution, and Illegal Alcohol Sales at Seattle Strip Club; SPD Declares Business a Chronic Nuisance

Seattle, WA — The Seattle Police Department (SPD) has declared the Club Dollhouse strip club on Aurora Avenue North a chronic nuisance property following an extensive investigation into criminal activity at the establishment. The probe uncovered sexual exploitation, prostitution, illegal alcohol sales, and two firearms, one of which was stolen.

On December 8, city officials sent a chronic nuisance declaration letter to the business and property owners at 10338 Aurora Avenue North. Under the declaration, the owners have seven days to respond and collaborate with the city to address public safety hazards.

SPD Chief Shon Barnes emphasized the city’s commitment to holding entertainment venue owners accountable. “Business owners who turn a blind eye to criminal activity and human trafficking are not welcome in Seattle,” Barnes said. “By declaring this business a chronic nuisance, we are sending a clear message that they face real consequences.”

The investigation began this fall after the SPD VICE Human Trafficking Unit received complaints about underage individuals allegedly working at the 21-and-over club, along with reports of sexual exploitation and illegal alcohol sales. The effort involved multiple SPD units, including patrol officers, the Narcotics Unit, the Community Response Group (CRG), and the Joint Enforcement Team (JET), as well as the Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services and the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board.

Authorities also uncovered numerous code violations at the club. The chronic nuisance designation is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation, particularly along the Aurora Avenue North corridor, including strip clubs and hotels.

SPD urges any individuals with information about criminal activity at similar establishments to contact authorities.
