He said that he was in a meeting when the area was bombed. This attack took place during the recent Iran-Israel war. The President also said that America had no role in this attack. He directly blamed Israel for this.
On June 13, Israel launched an unprecedented attack against Iran, killing several top military officials and nuclear scientists. The attack took place just as the US and Iran were about to begin talks on a nuclear deal.
According to Iran, more than 900 people were killed in this war, while Israel reported that 28 people were killed on its side. A ceasefire was implemented on 24 June.
Pezeshkian said that Iran wants to start nuclear talks with the US again, but for that, trust must be restored. He asked that when talks start, how can it be ensured that Israel will not be allowed to attack again?
