JD Vance’s visit to India: will the talks on tariff move forward?

POLITICS & LAWSJD Vance's visit to India: will the talks on tariff move forward?

After PM Modi’s meeting with President Trump, no permanent solution or major concession was achieved regarding tariff but a bilateral trade dialogue started to create a trade balance between the two countries.

US Vice President JD Vance is arriving in India on Monday on a four-day visit with his family, ahead of the Indian delegation leaving for the US with a draft of a bilateral trade agreement to deal with tariffs. During this visit, he is meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. During this, there can be talks between the two on economy, trade and geopolitical relations.

Vice President JD Vance is very aggressive about Trump’s policies. During his conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, he was even more aggressive in questioning President Donald Trump. Not only this, Vance also clashed with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the Oval Office over freedom of expression.

In Munich too, he had raised his voice against European laws on artificial intelligence and social media platforms. One thing is clear from this that he is not going to work as a mere humble political assistant like the previous vice presidents. He has no qualms in appearing aggressive either.
