The meeting included both the Committee of the Whole session and the regular City Council meeting, highlighting progress on several important city projects.

Committee of the Whole Highlights

  • Finance Leadership presented the September 2025 Financial Report.

  • Council reviewed amendments to the Kent City Code related to business licensing and property tax levies for the 2026 budget.

  • An ordinance approving the 2026 Mid-Biennial Budget Modifications was sent to Council for adoption.

  • Council also considered capital facilities amendments to the Kent Comprehensive Plan and adjustments to fee schedules for fire and school impact fees.

  • A reimbursement agreement with King County for the Mill Creek Canyon Earthworks Park pathway was approved for consideration.
