USAKent Clarifies: No Evacuation Orders Currently in Effect

Kent, WA — The City of Kent has issued a clarification after some residents received resent King County Code Red alerts that referenced evacuations earlier this week.

City officials emphasized that there are NO evacuation notices in effect for the City of Kent at this time. The alerts being received today relate to older notifications and do not indicate any new or active evacuation orders.

Residents are urged to rely only on official sources for accurate and up-to-date information. The City stated that all verified updates will be shared exclusively through KentWA.gov and the City of Kent’s official social media channels.

Officials encourage the public to remain alert but not alarmed and to avoid spreading unverified information.
