USAKent PD to Participate in “Battle of the Badges” Holiday Lights Event in Renton

Renton, WA — The Kent Police Department is inviting families and community members to enjoy a festive night of friendly competition and holiday cheer at the annual Battle of the Badges Holiday Lights event, happening Saturday, December 6, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Renton Technical College.

Hosted by the Renton Police Department, the event brings together police, fire, EMS, dispatch, corrections, military, and other public safety organizations for a spirited holiday lights display competition. Each participating group decorates themed displays, and attendees get the chance to walk through the exhibits and vote for their favorites.

In addition to the holiday fun, the event supports a meaningful cause. Organizers are collecting food and cash donations for the Renton Food Bank, encouraging attendees to give back while enjoying the celebrations.

The family-friendly event will also feature food trucks, music, and festive activities, making it a holiday destination for residents across South King County.

Kent PD encouraged the public to attend, vote for their displays, and support the community through donations.

More information about the event is available through the City of Renton.
