KENT, WA — The Kent Police Department has welcomed a new group of public safety professionals to its team, with several new police officers and a corrections officer officially joining the department.
According to the department, the new members were sworn into duty during a ceremony attended by city and department leadership. The recruits bring diverse backgrounds, experiences, and a shared commitment to serving the Kent community.
Among the new team members are individuals with backgrounds in corrections, military service, and previous law enforcement agencies. Several of the officers shared that they were drawn to the Kent Police Department because of its reputation, community-focused approach, and opportunities to make a meaningful difference.
