KENT, Wash. – October 27, 2025 — Detectives with the Kent Police Department are investigating a homicide following a shooting that occurred Sunday evening at an apartment complex in the 6000 block of South 233rd Place.

According to police, the incident took place around 6:13 p.m. on October 26. Multiple 911 callers reported hearing gunfire and seeing a man lying in the parking lot. Officers and medics arrived within minutes and found a 26-year-old Kent man unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A loaded 9mm handgun was discovered near the victim and was later determined to be registered to him, authorities said.

About 40 minutes after the initial response, Kent Police received word that two men, both 23 years old, had arrived at Valley Medical Center with gunshot wounds. Investigators are working to determine if the two incidents are connected. The medical conditions of the two wounded individuals remain unknown.

Kent Police Detectives have taken over the investigation.
