Kent, WA — October 30, 2025:
The Kent Police Department (KPD) is inviting community members to join them for their next “Hops and Cops” event on Wednesday, November 5, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riverbend Bar & Grill.
The informal gathering offers residents a chance to meet and chat with Chief Padilla and other Kent Police Department staff members in a relaxed, friendly setting. The event aims to strengthen relationships between officers and the public through open dialogue and community connection.
“We love this event and the great conversations that come from it,” the department shared in its announcement. “Hope to see you there!”
While the event will be held at a bar, alcohol will not be provided by KPD. The department will instead offer water and complimentary snacks/appetizers for attendees. Participants must be 21 years or older, and officers will not be consuming alcohol during the event.
The “Hops and Cops” program is part of Kent PD’s ongoing efforts to promote transparency, approachability, and positive engagement with the residents they serve.
