Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) most wanted terrorist Abu Qatal was killed in Pakistan on Saturday night. He was shot dead by unknown assailants in Punjab district. Abu Katal was close to 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed. Katal was a key member of LeT and was known for plotting several attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
Katal was also involved in the attack on a bus of pilgrims returning from Shivkhodi temple in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on June 9 last year. 10 people lost their lives in this.

There are also reports on social media that terrorist Hafiz Saeed has also been killed in this attack. Many social media users wrote that when Abu Katal was passing through Jhelum area in his car, bikers opened fire on the car.
Abu Qatal was killed in this attack, while Hafiz Saeed, who was in the car, was injured. He also died later. However, these claims have been denied.
