Olympic medalist MC Mary Kom has divorced her husband Karung Onler. Mary Kom, a six-time world champion, revealed this after about 16 months. She shared this information after rumours started doing the rounds on social media that she was having an affair with Hitesh Choudhary or another boxer’s husband.
The separation of the two took place on 20 December 2023 with mutual consent in the presence of both families and elders, under the customary law of Kom.
The two were married in 2005.Mary Kom clarified about the affair with Hitesh Chaudhary. Hitesh is a business partner and president of the Mary Kom Boxing Foundation.
Mary was also accused of having an affair with the husband of another boxer. On the social media platform X, Mary Kom shared a legal notice issued by her. It was clarified in the notice that her divorce was amicable months ago and she has moved on and does not wish to comment further on her previous marriage.
