Seattle — Several off-ramps on Interstate 5, including the Mercer Street and Denny Way exits, have been closed, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). Officials have not provided an estimated time for when the ramps will reopen.
In coordination with the City of Seattle, WSDOT earlier warned that drivers could face ramp closures on northbound and southbound I-5, including both mainline and express lanes, as well as SR 99. The closures are expected to cause delays and traffic congestion in surrounding areas.
Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and allow for extra travel time. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
