KENT, WA – November 2025 — A major redevelopment project is underway in Kent, as the Bridge Kent Maralco project prepares to transform a former industrial site into a new 178,703-square-foot warehouse facility. The project will take place on a 12.05-acre site located at 7730 South 202nd Street, signaling continued growth and reinvestment in Kent’s thriving industrial corridor.
The development will involve demolition of the existing aluminum smelter building and removal of contaminated soils in accordance with Washington State Department of Ecology regulations. A small residential structure on the property will also be removed to make way for construction.
Comprehensive Site Improvements
Beyond the new warehouse, the project includes a series of infrastructure and environmental upgrades, such as:
-
Grading and stormwater facility installation
-
Water and sanitary sewer extensions and connections
-
Landscaping and franchise utility improvements
-
Frontage road enhancements along South 202nd Street and 80th Avenue South
These improvements aim to support the area’s ongoing industrial development while ensuring environmental safety and improved roadway conditions for future tenants and nearby businesses.
