Kent, WA — Drivers traveling through the intersection of West Meeker Street and Washington Avenue North should plan for nighttime traffic delays beginning this weekend due to scheduled utility work.
From January 11 through January 16, 2026, crews will implement alternating lane closures on southbound Washington Avenue North and eastbound West Meeker Street. The work will take place nightly between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists safely through the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and allow extra travel time during overnight hours.
The project is part of ongoing utility improvements in the area.
