Top US diplomat Dorothy Shea said during the United Nations Security Council meeting on Tuesday that the Trump administration played an important role in reducing tensions by mediating between India and Pakistan recently. He also said that America is committed to mediating and resolving disputes across the world. Let us tell you that US President Donald Trump has also claimed many times that he brokered a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
Speaking at the Council meeting chaired by Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Shia said over the past three months, US leadership has contributed to reducing tensions between Israel and Iran, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, and India and Pakistan.
He appealed to all the member countries of the United Nations to also make efforts to resolve their disputes. It is worth mentioning that Pakistan is currently a temporary member of the Security Council and is presiding over the Council in the month of July.
